Hello everyone,
As you can see we’ve got a new blog here at apt host and our first announcement is a big one: We’d like to announce that AptHost is now under new ownership. Our names are Ben Welch-bolen and Joel Brown. We’ve both been in the hosting industry for the last decade, and we’re going to be using that experience to bring a lot of positive changes to AptHost. You can count on us and on our staff to provide great customer service.
We’ll be using the blog on a quarterly basis to post updates on what we’re working on here at AptHost and what we have accomplished. In that vein, here’s a list of what we’ve already started work on:
- We’ve switched to a new support desk and, as you may have noticed, Technical Support, Live Chat, and other departments are responding to your questions more quickly than ever. We’ve also brought new staff into AptHost and restructured support operations to improve quality and reduce response times. You’ll see continued improvements in this area during the coming year.
- Over the next two months our staff will be implementing a new backup system for all shared, reseller, and semi dedicated boxes that will store several more snapshots than the previous system.
- During the next six months, you will see some new products coming out, improvements to current products, and a lot of optimization work. We are going to make AptHost the best streaming hosting service available, and with the new products we’ll be able to provide a streamlined path for clients to scale from shared hosting to VPS and all the way to complex hosting solutions for very large sites.
- We are working on the affiliate situation and should have that resolved soon. We are going to sort the affiliate payment problem out and make sure all affiliates are paid and fix the mistakes made by the previous owners.
If you have any comments, suggestions, requests, questions, or any thoughts you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you! Please feel free to email us at Ben@AptHost.com or Joel@AptHost.com any time. Also, we’ll monitor the comments section of this blog, so feel free to express any questions or thoughts here.
We’re very excited for what’s in store here at AptHost, and hope you are too.

You talked about more staff, improved service, more frequent backups and future new products.
Have all the servers been stabilized and the down times eliminated?
If I purchase a plan now, will I be eligible for any new features you come up with 6 months from now?
Is the 45 day trial period solid?

Hi J Taylor,
I wish I could flip a switch and stop any server problems, that is unfortunately not something that happens overnight. With our staff in charge you will see a lot quicker action and response on tickets which will result in better server uptime. We are currently working through the servers to audit them and see what we can do to improve performance. Right now we are also checking them over to see about adding an additional 6GB of ram.
So far the servers have been pretty stable since our take over in general, have you had any problems? If so feel free to email ben@apthost.com and I’d be happy to help.
Yep any new features would be given to all user’s.
The 45 money back guarantee is always honored!
Thanks, Ben
