We offer 3 distinct levels of managed service for dedicated servers. Each one has similiarites and differences. The first level offers an unmanaged service while the 3rd level is considered 'fully managed'. The managed service you have choose should reflect how skilled you are at system administration. You can choose the managed services at checkout, when choosing your dedicated server.

Managed Services

Standard (FREE)
Self-managed
Standard is the lowest level of managed service we offer and is designed for a system administrator who can handle most day-to-day operations of your server but could require assistance on rare occasions. It is expected that those that choose this level will maintain patches/upgrades and overall security to the highest level on their own. If you choose this level you will not need to maintain root password with us. After using up the 5 support tickets available free of charge, it is $15 per ticket. General support provides you with a guaranteed 3-hour or less response from a level 3 technician.

Semi-managed
Elite is our entry level management solution. Servers will not only have service monitor/notification however the Elite package also includes emergency response for any downed services. As part of the Elite service you don't need to worry about ever updating your server as it will be part of our auto updating service carried out by the System Administrators of AptHost. Participating in Elite will also give you the ability to request a monthly On-Demand Server Security & Health Assessment report. In addition to the intensive amount of support and services you get provided with Elite you will also have the ability to utilize up to 1 Hour of administrative services.

Fully-managed
Pro provides you the maximum amount of management while still leaving you in the drivers seat. Servers will not only have service monitor/notification however the Pro package also includes emergency response for any downed services. In addition to monitoring your overall uptime the server also gets added to our advanced  resource monitor that provides a careful watch over memory, CPU, and server load usage. As part of the Pro service you don't need to worry about ever updating your server as it will be part of our auto updating service carried out by our System Administrators. Additional security is provided in the form of an an initial security audit and periodic security and health checkups. Choosing the Pro plan will offer you an unlimited amount of support tickets and administration time.
